FHL Kids' Ranch TEAMS

Appy and Nanny! 1 out of 16 grandkids!

I gave a flower to my grandmother as a simple way of showing my love and appreciation for her. My grandmother is a kind and amazing person who has always been a strong and inspiring figure in my life. Even though she is already 91, she remains cheerful and full of warmth, which makes everyone around her feel comfortable and happy. Every morning, nanny greets me with a smile and says good morning. She always asks how I am, which shows how much she cares about me. Nanny also gives the best advice whenever I feel confused or unsure about things. Her words guide me and help me make better decisions in life. There are times when she forgets who I am and asks me, “Who are you again?” Even though it can be sad sometimes, I never get tired of being with her. Instead, it reminds me to be more patient, understanding, and loving. I also feel honored whenever my mom asks me to watch over her when they are not at home. Taking care of my grandmother is not a responsibility that I see as a burden, but rather a blessing and a privilege. Giving her the flower I made from leaves is my simple way of expressing how grateful I am to have her in my life. She is not just my grandmother; she is also a role model who teaches me kindness, strength, and unconditional love. I am very thankful that she is part of my life, and I will always treasure the time I spend with her. Anyways  I can go on and on but I think I have to stop here for now.

Mom and her sister!

Mom is staying in Branson, Missouri with my sister, Linda. Happy & healthy by the grace of God.

They are having the time of their life! They won for best in costume at the Branson Senior Center.

Rightfully so! They look like The Hillbillies!

Many have been praying for my mom and I thank you for that!

She just turned 89, November 3rd.

We are hoping she can make another trip to the Philippines after she renews her passport.

Nothing is impossible with God!

Well, of course Jesus is our first hero because He chose to call and save us! And not just that but to use us in

spite of ourselves. And for that, We will be forever grateful for the family and life He has given for us.

I left home when I was 18 to join YWAM to see what the Mission Field was all about. My parents were behind me 110%.

I've been on the Mission Field ever since. Now that I'm in my 50's, I realized that I didn't really have much time with my parents accept for the 18 years of growing up. 10 of those hours in a day were spent in school. My mom and I have been able to spend a lot of quality time getting to know each other better when she visits the ranch. I'm so blessed to call her "MY MOM".  She is loyal, compassionate, generous,  Godly and full wisdom.

I JUST WANT TO HONOR HER BY TELLING THE WORLD HOW MUCH I LOVE AND APPRECIATE HER!!

Happy 87th Birthday Nanny!

AND FHLKIDS RANCH AND OROQUIETA CHAMBER SINGERS!

WHEN PARENTS GET OLD….

Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow…

Let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that they heard yours as a child…

Let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win…

Let them enjoy their friends just as they let you..

Let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them…

Let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away..

Let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you..

LET THEM LIVE  AND TRY TO MAKE THEM HAPPY THE LAST STRETCH OF THE PATH THEY HAVE LEFT TO GO; GIVE THEM YOUR HAND, JUST LIKE THEY GAVE YOU THEIR HAND WHEN YOU STARTED YOUR PATH!

HONOR YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER AND YOUR DAYS SHALL BE LONG UPON THE EARTH.
